This week's episode of WNPM is about the music of Charles Mingus.  Hearing Mingus' music was like a revelation for me, it set me on the path of digging deep into the music, and without it I would never have come to explore it so much as to be able to put together a podcast like this in the first place.  Revisiting his music closely to choose the tracks for this episode was a true pleasure, and reminded me of the incredible potential music has to express incomprehensible beauty; I hope you enjoy it!

Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting #7 - Ellingtonia

This episode is about the music of one of the most prolific figures in the history of american music, Mr.  Duke Ellington, both as performed by the Duke himself, and as interpreted by a handful of other artists, including Charles Mingus, Mary Lou Williams, Charlie Haden and more.  Ellingron may have passed on years ago, but his music remains a reminder that he loves us, dear listeners, madly!
